A credit score is one summary of information in a credit report. The report can also show accounts, balances, repayment history, and enquiries. Lenders may consider this information together with income, existing obligations, and their own lending rules.
Check a report
- Choose the credit bureau whose report you want to review and use its official consumer channel.
- Complete the identity checks on that site and save the report securely.
- Check personal details, account status, balances, payment history, and enquiries.
- If an item looks wrong, contact the lender or bureau through its official dispute route and keep the reference number.
RBI says individuals with credit history can access one free full report per calendar year from each credit information company. Verify current access terms and bureau coverage directly before using any third-party app. A score check alone does not predict approval or guarantee a rate.
